Faisal Simon is a Director, Producer, Writer & Actor from India. Faisal's journey as a creative individual started during his school days with stage plays & creative exchanges with famous directors like Feisal Alkazi & Joy Sengupta. He also worked as a child artist in many documentary film projects produced by U.N.O & International filmmakers. A few years later he was spotted by the then All India Radio Director & given an opportunity to be one of the youngest RJs at All India Radio. An experience that laid the foundation of his interest in music & cinema. While graduating from Pune University with majors in marketing & advertising he also did a course in screenplay writing at The Film & Television Institute Pune. He went on to pursue a Master's Degree in film production from the U.K. During his days as a student in England, he worked at Sky TV, Midlands TV & BBC as a trainee/intern.
On his return from England, he was selected to be a teacher at Anupam Kher Company's Actor Prepares. Where he rose to a position of a Senior Trainer & a Creative Director; directing more than 50 plays and student films for the Company. During his stint as a trainer, he trained Miss India Winners like Parvathy Omnakuttan, Pooja Chopra, Simran Kaur Mundi & Manasvi Mamgai, etc. He also trained talents like Deepika Padukone, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mugdha Godse, Jacqueline Fernandes, Amrita Raichand, Kiara Advani, Katrina Kaif, Armaan Jain & many more. Simultaneously he worked he also produced content for Mid Day a leading daily of Mumbai.
He then moved to Times Broadcasting as a Producer in Zoom Tv and was an active part of developing new shows & films for the channel. He has worked on films like: My Name is Khan (Dharma Productions, Director Karan Johar) Lamhaa (G.S Entertainment, Director Rahul Dholakia) Lage Raho Munnabhai (Vinod Chopra Films, Director Rajkumar Hirani) Turning 30 (Prakash Jha Productions, Director Alankrita Jha) Shikara (Vinod Chopra Productions, Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra) Leila, Netflix Original Series (Directors Deepa Mehta, Shankar Raman & Pawan Kumar) He has also produced & directed & written a comedy feature film titled 'Mere Paas Baap Hai', in association with Sony Pictures Network.
He also works with Gen Next Studio as a Creative Head & Director, which produces top-notch content across various formats ranging from corporate films, TVCs, music videos, documentaries, digital & branded content. He has also worked as a creative head/consultant to launch Cars like Mercedes Benz E Class & Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, being the most recent one. He is also a senior consultant to the Times of India Group & an industry voice on branded content in India.
Being a storyteller at heart he has worked with brands like Air Vistara, BMW, Mercedes Benz, I phone, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Disney, Coca Cola, Samsonite, Fitness First, Café Coffee Day, Book My Show, Western Union, MTV, Admantino Diamonds, & various initiatives by the Government of India. He is a specialist in Creative strategy & Branded content & has a keen interest in traveling, reading, teaching, photography, films & social work.
