Katelyn Mager movie list
Since she was 4 years old Katelyn has been winning the hearts of fans in every role that she plays. Now 15 the young beauty has already developed into a 'seasoned actress' with skills well beyond her years.
When Katelyn performed the role of the beloved Young Thalia in the feature 'Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters' (2013), Katelyn was playing a character that mirrored herself almost exactly. Confident, passionate, unstoppable, Katelyn throws herself into her characters with the same dedication she commits to her many competitive sports.
Katelyn's film career began in 2009 when she performed the role of a child dying from heart failure in the feature film 'Damage' with Steve Austin. In only her second role, Katelyn was cast as the supporting lead as Dolph Lundgren's daughter in the feature 'The Killing Machine' (2010). Later that year Katelyn won roles in various television projects including the well-known series 'Supernatural' and in 'Life Unexpected' as the younger best friend of Britt Robertson ('Tomorrowland').
Success continued for Katelyn when she was cast to play the extremely complex and challenging role of an Asperger's patient in the television film 'Normal' (2011) opposite Carrie-Anne Moss. For the role, Katelyn needed to convincingly portray her character's numerous afflictions which included both head and eye ticks as well as a hand-washing obsession while portraying her character's internal emotions and delivering her lines. The Asperger expert on set stated that there was nothing that she could teach the young actress that she wasn't already doing; Katelyn was only 11 years old.
Another of her many characters was that as fan-favourite Rachel Stonelake in the Hallmark Television Series 'When Calls the Heart' (2014-2015). However, Katelyn's greatest dramatic work to-date has been her role as Charlotte in the feature film 'Charlotte's Song' (2015) in which she stars opposite Iwan Rheon ('Game of Thrones'). A dark homage to Hans Christian Anderson's 'Little Mermaid' set in the 1930s dustbowl, Katelyn's portrayal of the amphibious siren who falls prey to a nefarious benefactor (Rheon) is a clear sign of the many award-nominated star performances we will see from her throughout her career.
Just 6 years after her first dramatic entry into the film and television industry, Katelyn has amassed over 20 film and television credits and has won numerous accolades for her performances including 2 Young Actor Awards (Hollywood), 4 Joey Awards (Canada), and her recent nomination for a Leo Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in 'Charlotte's Song'.
