Andrew Brian Carter grew up in the Chicagoland area beloved by John Hughes, Chris Columbus, and Harold Ramis, living minutes away from the homes of Ferris Bueller, Kevin McCallister, and Joel Goodson. Andrew's early influences came from his father's old-time radio programs, the family's frequent trips to see theatre in downtown Chicago, and by the unruly antics of Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Dana Carvey and Pee-Wee Herman. He studied acting at the University of Illinois and received his BFA before going on to a successful acting career in television, film and theatre. His sarcastic hipsters, foolish foreigners, and sleazy con-men have faced off against George Lopez, Kat Dennings & Beth Behrs, Joe Montegna & Paget Brewster, Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic, Dania Ramirez & Santino Fontana, Hannah Simone & Max Greenfield, and many other major players in Hollywood.

His first web series "Welcome to Splitsville" premiered at El Cid Shorts in Los Angeles in 2015. He wrote, directed, and stars in the comedy about a man who finds himself surrounded, often trapped, by breakups -- sometimes his own. He followed that with the silent film "Birthday Island" shot on his birthday at Catalina Island.
His short film "A Perfect Fit" is currently on the festival circuit. He is credited as writer, director, actor, editor, and colorist on the film. The story centers on a bridal shop owner who spends her days hearing stories of love, romance, and courtship, but has yet to experience anything of the sort in her own life. The 10-minute film reminds us that no matter how many times we get dumped, rejected, heartbroken, or worse, we all find the courage to get back out there and try again.
